DESCRIPTION:The 8th edition of Mersin Metropolitan Municipality's marathon runs three categories along the Mediterranean shore: the 42K\, a 10K and a public run. The gun goes at 08:00 on 13 December from Özgecan Aslan Barış Meydanı in Yenişehir. The marathon has carried a World Athletics Elite Label since 2023\; the fastest marathon time ever run on Turkish soil\, 2:07:14\, was set on this course in 2025\, and the event placed 31st out of the 215 marathons on the World Athletics calendar for organisational quality. Entry is 800 TRY for the 42K and 400 for the 10K\, with the public run free. The minimum age is 18\, runners past the six-hour limit are pulled from the course\, and finishers get a medal.
