Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 2026-08-17
RaceTurkiye aims to be usable by everyone, including people using a keyboard, a screen reader, or a phone one-handed at a trailhead with patchy signal. We haven't commissioned a formal WCAG audit, and we don't claim full conformance — this page is an honest account of what we've deliberately built in and where we know we still fall short, not a certification.
What we do today
- Interactive controls meet the WCAG 2.5.8 minimum target size (24×24px) rather than the smaller, harder-to-tap sizes a default layout tends to produce — including standalone links like the language switcher in the footer.
- Semantic HTML and ARIA labelling on icon-only controls, form fields, and status indicators.
- Colour is never the only signal — status pills and form errors pair colour with text or an icon.
- Light and dark themes both meet contrast targets for body text and interactive elements.
- Keyboard navigation works across the site's primary flows — browsing, filtering, and account actions.
Where we know we fall short
RaceTurkiye is built and run by one person, part-time. Some pages — particularly interactive course maps and embedded charts — haven't been tested with a screen reader, and we haven't audited every page against WCAG 2.2 AA systematically. If you hit a barrier, we want to know about it and fix it, not leave it undocumented.
Tell us about a problem
If you encounter an accessibility barrier anywhere on RaceTurkiye, email support@raceturkiye.com with the page and what happened. We read every report ourselves and will get back to you.
