About This Event
Run across the hilly terrain between İzmit and Derince in Kocaeli, Çenedağ Ultra Trail offers five categories, all starting from central Derince: the 57K (1,287 m of climb, 08:30, 11-hour cut-off), the 21K (483 m, 09:00, five hours), the 14K (261 m, 09:30, three hours), and two 8K races off at 10:00 with a two-hour limit — the individual Çınarlıdere course and a team event (150 m). The race runs on a partial self-sufficiency basis: runners carry the mandatory kit that lets them continue safely in whatever the mountain weather does. The team race, 21K and 57K require a medical certificate or an athletics licence, and under-18s need parental consent. Age groups are -34, 35-44, 45-54 and 55+. Fields are capped at 300-500 per category and all were still open at the end of August.
